Meet the heart behind the Diary
I am a mother, full-time caregiver and parent advocate who has spent nearly eight years learning how to navigate autism, disability services, IEPs, AAC, therapies, safety concerns and the systems families are often expected to understand alone.
Autism Mama Diary grew from my real life: the appointments, paperwork, sleepless nights, hard conversations, determined follow-ups and beautiful breakthroughs. I am not here because I have had a perfect journey. I am here because I kept going, kept learning and wanted to make the road gentler for the mother walking behind me.
“I share the systems, advocacy and emotional truth without sharing my daughter’s private suffering.”
For nearly eight years, I have loved, learned, documented, coordinated, questioned and advocated while trying to be the safe place my daughter needs. I know what it feels like when providers change, appointments overlap, paperwork piles up and the world still expects you to function as though you slept peacefully.
Autism Mama Diary was created from that truth. This is the place I wish I had when I was searching for answers, companionship and a clear next step. Not perfection. Not judgment. A softer place to land and practical tools to help us keep moving forward.

Being prepared with careWhen everything comes at once
Overwhelm tells us everything must be handled immediately. A simple sequence gives the pressure somewhere to go.
You do not have to solve every problem in the same moment it arrives.
Keep dates, concerns, conversations, reports and promises where you can find them.
Write your priorities and questions before meetings so pressure cannot erase your voice.
Ask for clarity, request support in writing and remember that your knowledge of your child matters.
A dignity-first space
I will share the systems, lessons, advocacy and emotional truth of my experience without turning my daughter’s private suffering into content. We can educate without exposing our children. We can speak honestly while protecting their dignity.
